ARCATA-- So much is happening in the TV White Space world it’s almost hard to keep up. Even companies on the front lines like Carlson are operating at lightning speed to stay on top of it all.

In fact, this week, Jim Carlson, CEO of Carlson Wireless, is attending the highly anticipated Cambridge Trials as a resident expert and purveyor of the leading white space radio product.

ARCATA, CALIF. & CAMBRIDGE, ENGLAND-- Carlson and Neul today announce plans to jointly develop and market a new white space radio networking system aimed at bringing affordable broadband to millions around the world.  This marks the beginning of a significant, global partnership between two established leaders in white space technologies.

ARCATA-- Carlson debuted its second-generation white space radio, the RuralConnect IP Version II (RCIP VII), at the Super Wi-Fi Summit in Austin, Tex. on September 13. Carlson and spectrum-database administrator Telcordia came together to demonstrate the compatibility of the RCIP VII and Telcordia’s database system with resounding success. 

ARCATA--  The future has arrived at the Yurok Reservation in Northern California. Historically the entire reservation, including every public safety agency, were forced to share a single T1 line causing communications bottlenecks and slower than dial-up connections. 

ARCATA-- TV White Space is making big news.  It is an untapped resource that offers abundant amounts of unlicensed spectrum whose signal can penetrate almost any obstacle, from trees to walls, which is especially important in rural areas.

Carlson Wireless is one of the first to introduce a multi-point radio that operates in the TV white space. Carlson’s RuralConnect IP is designed to bring high-speed wireless broadband to rural communities that desperately need it.

ARCATA, CA— The Yurok Tribe of Northern California signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Carlson Wireless, making them the first native tribe in the nation to utilize available TV white space to bring broadband capabilities to their currently underserviced remote areas.
