Carlson Wireless Technologies Announces Q4 2003 Results

Redway, CA - Carlson Wireless Technologies, Inc. (CWT) announces 2003 results and planned expansion of products, sales and services for 2004.

CWT designs, manufactures and sells patented fixed-base wireless communications equipment for high-speed voice and data. Products are primarily sold to governments, telephone companies and communication integrators worldwide.

James Carlson, CEO, announced that the 2003 produced record sales for the company. CWT released a new generation of products, the RuralConnect™ Multipoint, expected to push company sales to over $4 million in 2004. Substantial markets are opening in the United States, especially in the "telecom underserved" rural areas of the southwest and midwest, and various governmental departments. Internationally, vast new markets are opening in Mexico, Africa, South America and Indonesia. Awards of contracts in Q1 2004 are expected to create production and delivery schedules for the balance of 2004 and into 2005.

Carlson also announced that along with positive earnings, 2003 also yielded a 21% increase in net sales, 16% increase in assets and an 18% increase in shareholder equity. Carlson said that an internal expansion of equipment and staff is planned for 2004. "Surrounded by a flat economy and a weak telecom sector, we are very pleased with our results, beating the domestic and international trends, here in Humboldt County" said Carlson.
